The goal of the project is to build a system to implement steganography using digital sound files. The program will provide nearly all people the ways to encode a text message in a sound data file and also to get the original meaning from the data file. Thus this kind of project entails the manipulation of sound files, especially WAV files where sound is definitely stored in Pulse Code Modulation uncompressed structure. These data files contain music samples which have been converted to digital audio using the Pulse Code modulation format. he text message data has to be embedded in the sound document ensuring bare minimum distortion with the sound which is undetectable to the human ear.
Steganography is the artwork and science of writing hidden messages in such a way that no one apart from the meant recipient is aware of of the living of the concept; this is unlike cryptography, in which the existence from the message by itself is not disguised, but the content is obscured.
The term " Steganography" is of Greek origin and means " covered, or perhaps hidden writing". Its old origins may be traced back in 440 BC.
